the single most heartbreaking thing about vilde’s clip, I think, is how at first we see her quiet and lost in thought and then the moment she had to interact with and outsider she smiled that vilde smile that we know so well and she never dropped it for the entire exchange and it makes me wonder exactly how much of vildes cheerfulness is an act, a front she puts up to keep suspicions away, to placate others and I hope I’m wrong bc otherwise, I’d have to wonder exactly how many smiles she’s faked for the last 4 season and honestly that would break my heart
